The west has started the historical process of modernization, but western modernization is not peaceful and win-win, but full of blood and violence. Western modernization "opens up the world market, making the production and consumption of all countries worldwide", and at the same time, "makes uncivilized and semi-civilized countries subordinate to civilized countries, makes the peasant nation subordinate to the bourgeois nation, and makes the East subordinate to the West". This "subordination" is the result of the expansion of the western capitalist mode of production to the whole world, achieved through colonial expansion and foreign aggression, and based on the bloody plunder of the people of Asia, Africa and America. Huntington, an American scholar, once said bluntly, "The West won the world not through its ideological, value or religious advantages (few people in other civilizations converted to them), but through its advantages in using organized violence." In practice, western countries adhere to the survival law of "might is justice" and the value concept of "power takes precedence over justice", regard war and violence as the most powerful tools to realize interests, and rely on unrestrained plunder and unprincipled power occupation to basically divide the world before the First World War.Many regions and nationalities in the world, including the Chinese nation, are involved in the capitalist world system, and the country is humiliated, the people are suffering and civilization is dusty.

In the past, direct colonization by means of war and destruction was unsustainable, and it was changed to indirect "economic colonization", supplemented by ideological cloaks such as neoliberalism and "the conclusion of history". Bewitched by the United States and the West, some developing countries blindly copied the western modernization model, resulting in acclimatization and numerous ills. Instead of realizing modernization, they missed the opportunity of development and even fell into a tragic situation of political turmoil, social unrest and people’s displacement.
